Published Tue, 04 Mar 2025 05:53:51 GMT

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Jeremy and it's about housesitting. Here's his email: Get the latest news, weather, and sports delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. Here's my issue. I had to leave on business for a couple of weeks and paid a local college-aged guy in the neighborhood a few hundred bucks to stay at my house and watch over the place. He was allowed to stay over, eat whatever he wanted, and was given free reign and trust. It’s a light-colored fabric, and now it’s loaded with what looks like Cheeto dust, condiments, and fingerprint dirt. Any thoughts on this from anyone? Thanks.JeremyThis is a tough one. I've had people housesit my home before. Sometimes you come home, and your house is cleaner than when you left, and sometimes you come home and it's...

Published Tue, 04 Mar 2025 05:53:51 GMT

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - The St. Charles County Council is set to vote on a property-tax freeze for seniors Monday night. If the bill passes, the county would become the first in the region to approve this kind of tax break. The measure that the St. Charles County Council is voting on would localize the one that the Missouri legislature passed earlier this year. Governor Mike Parson signed it into law.The new Missouri law allows individual counties to freeze property tax rates on the primary homes of people ages 62 and up. It would also create a tax credit to offset the cost of their property taxes and end state taxes on social security benefits starting in 2024.The proposed legislation also ends state taxes on social security benefits starting in 2024. The tax freeze would apply to all taxing jurisdictions located within St. Charles County. Think things like school districts and fire districts, not just the portion of a property tax bill that goes to the county itself. Tri My Be...

ST. LOUIS -- On the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we remember a touching tribute by a St. Louis-based company that aired only once during the 2002 Super Bowl. This poignant ad featured the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales traveling to New York City, where they bowed their heads in front of the fractured skyline. This emotional tribute was the result of a remarkable collaborative effort involving Congress, the New York City Mayor's Office, and others. Filming took place during a fragile moment in American history, with the nation at war and on edge. The ad's production team had unprecedented access, with then Mayor Giuliani granting permission for a helicopter to film the Clydesdales in Battery Park.
