ST. LOUIS - Oskar Sundqvist, a gritty forward and a key piece in the St. Louis Blues' 2019 Stanley Cup championship, will rejoin the roster next season. Sundqvist agreed to a one-year, $775,000 contact with the Blues, a deal the team officially announced Wednesday. Sundqvist also hinted at the deal Wednesday morning via Twitter. He returns to the Blues after spending five seasons with the team from 2017-22. EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) - The head of the Fon Du Lac Park Police said the six dogs recovered from a disabled boat last week are doing fine and should recover. Police Chief Chance Barlow said the dogs are "fighters" and with the care given by Peoria County Animal Protection Shelter, they should recover. He said he hopes that people will use the events to look out for animals in the area. Boat with emaciated dogs had been anchored for two weeks, police say "If you see something, call 911. They can't communicate," he said Tuesday, less than 24 hours after his office turned over information to the Peoria County State's Attorney's office for possible charges against the owner of the boat.On July 5, officers with his department which is the primary law enforcement agency on the Illinois River were called to check on the animals which were in kennels in the 32-foot cabin cruiser. Authorities have released a surveillance photo of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in San Juan Capistrano earlier this year.The incident was reported around 5:20 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 2600 block of Calle San Luis, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.Responding deputies found the victim, 30-year-old Jorge Marvin Guadarrama, with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An alleged gang member has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Victorville last month.Ricky Prudholme Jr., a 41-year-old Victorville resident, was arrested Monday morning for shooting Eddie James, 43 and also of Victorville, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. James was shot in the 14200 block of Valley Center Drive about 10:20 p.m. on June 9, and he was declared dead at a local hospital.Prudholme has been charged with James' murder, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm and participating in a criminal street gang.He is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center. Suspected DUI Collision in North Tustin Street Left Man DeadORANGE COUNTY, CA (July 12, 2023) – Saturday evening, a wrong-way crash on East Katella Avenue left a male driver fatally injured.Initially, officers received two calls around 8:19 p.m. concerning a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a Hyundai Elantra. Reports indicated that the Hyundai was stopped at a green light at E. Katella Avenue and N. Tustin Street.At around 8:20 p.m., the driver woke up and continued traveling west on Katella as patrol officers make their way to the scene.The Hyundai driver then veered into the oncoming traffic between Cambridge and N. Shaffer Street and collided with a Toyota Tundra and a Honda Insight.Consequently, the impact ejected the Hyundai driver ejected from his vehicle, leaving him with fatal injuries.
